Operating systems

The Tenders database has been tested with Web browsers running under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X.

In theory, you should be able to use the Tenders service with Web browsers running under Unix, Linux or any other operating system for which the recommended browsers are available. However, we have not tested this, and our Help Desk cannot provide support for problems related to operating systems other than 32-bit Windows and Mac OS.

Web browsers

The Tenders service allows you to access the Tenders database via the Internet, using a standard Web browser. However, Web browsers do not include all of the functionality that is required for a feature-rich search and display system, and so Justis Publishing provides the missing functions via software that runs on our Web server and generates HTML that is sent to the customer’s browser. Some Web browsers are more amenable than others to this technology, and so there is no simple answer to the question “Which Web browser should I use?”.
